Even newer hair!

Yes, I am obsessed!

I finally got the courage to cut off the last few inches (you knew it wouldn't take long, didn't you?) ;o)

1940s hair!

My man's not as impressed as I am.....

I have had heard mixed things about the middy cut. Some say that it looks like a mullet if you go exactly by the diagram. Others say they love it. I am curious to know how your hair looks when you don't set it. I don't set mine every day, and would like something that doesn't look awful straight. :)

Hi Desirae!! Yes, the middy is a little strange without curling...which makes sense, since it is a cut for a specific, curly style. The sides are a bit shorter than the back, so a little mullet-ish. I'm afraid I have naturally curly hair, so mine (without setting in curlers) looks much different from a straight-haired middy. I still need to at least set the bottom back and my bangs every day. With the middy this short (4.5 to 5 inches at the back) all you can do is put in a hair band or tie up with a bandanna if it is straight, and you haven't set it.. Lisafreemontstreet on YouTube has a video where she had her hair cut in quite a long middy and it didn't look like a mullet - her hair is very straight.
